Daintree National Park

Daintree National Park Queensland Australia's Daintree National Park Queensland became a World Heritage Site in 1988. A large portion of this park consists of the Greater Daintree Rainforest which has existed for 110 million years and is thought to be one of the oldest on earth.

Due to Australia's hot and wet weather, the dry season, May through November, is the best time to visit Daintree National Park Queensland. An eco safari is one of the best ways to see Daintree. Experience ancient trees, rare plants, wildlife such as cassowary, platypus, water dragon and kangaroo. Guided tours take visitors deep into the heart of the rainforest where you can cool off and swim in a river or a rock pool. Rainforest paths stretch down to the beach where visitors can explore reefs filled with sea life and wade through rainforest streams.

Daintree National Park Queensland is divided into three sections; Daintree National Park, Mossman Gorge and Cape Tribulation. Tour Mossman Gorge with Kuku Yalanji guides.
